First Lessons on Service to Others
A passion for helping others re-enter society was instilled in her from an early age by her mother. She watched and assisted her mother, with aiding the safety of battered women; feeding orphaned and neglected children and helping prisoners return to work once released into the community. None of these services were readily available through established organization to members of the community during that time. Although, her parents were not wealthy, they always found a way to help others.
Born a Phoenix
Personally, Dr. Grant has had to start over several times during her life. Despite, having experienced spousal verbal abuse to the point of suicidal distress, homelessness, and financially destitute with outdated job skills and no possessions. Like a Phoenix with the grace of God, she has risen from the ashes on more than one occasion, for God is greater than any mythological figure.
Together with a group of other concern citizens, she organized CLI for aid persons to re-enter society. A small and humble non-profit to help those in similar circumstances in the community. Now retired, Dr. Grant stays active as a real estate broker. She enjoys selling real estate when she is not engaged in community services.
Why Us?
We are not rich or famous but concerned humanitarians whose personal experiences and insight into the trials and tribulation of our times, seek to enhance man's humanity toward his fellow men. Social Justice is a dominant topic in today's media. We started this quest for a more just society a decade ago when such discussions were not welcomed and sometimes suspect.
We appreciate your donations toward this endeavor. We invite your partnership and support.
